Viv Groskop is a writer and comedian. A regular voice on BBC Radio 4 (Loose Ends, Saturday Review, Front Row) she grew up in Bruton, attending Bruton Primary School and winning a scholarship to Bruton School for Girls. Her first book, I Laughed, I Cried, the story of doing 100 stand-up comedy gigs in 100 consecutive nights, became a best-seller and led to a five-star show at the Edinburgh Fringe. She has performed with Michael McIntyre, Jo Brand, Sandi Toksvig, Tim Vine and Lucy Porter.

Viv is currently the Artistic Director of the Independent Bath Literature Festival and will be appearing at the Festival from 27 February to 8 March 2015 with Omid Djalili and Absolutely Fabulous’ Helen Lederer.
