an evening with Christa D’Souza

1st December 2016

ChristaD’Souza is talking about her new book, The Hot Topic: a life changing look at the Change of Life which probes what she calls ‘society’s last taboo’: the menopause. In a wry and honest account of her own journey into and through menopause, Christa looks at why menopause is still a club no one yearns to belong to, and why there’s so little discussion about this key milestone of maturity.

Journalist and author, Christa D’Souza, has written for publications such as the Guardian, the Daily Mail, the Times, the Daily Telegraph, Vanity Fair, and the Evening Standard, and is currently contributing editor of British Vogue. In her articles, she often probes body issues such as ageing, weight-control, diet, cosmetic surgery, and her own battle with cancer.

‘Christa D’Souza is warm, witty and wise. No woman – or man, come to that – should be without this book.’ Cressida Connolly

‘At last a no-nonsense, myth-debunking and even amusing look at the M word. The final step to equality has to be turning the menopause from its current secret, shameful status into a topic we can happily discuss, learn to best negotiate and celebrate. In these pages Christa D’Souza puts us firmly on that path.’ Mariella Frostrup
