a day workshop with Charles Dowding

Charles Dowding has pioneered many innovative ways of growing organic vegetables, over three decades, in five different gardens, with an organic, no dig approach. An author of 7 gardening books and voted ‘Practical Journalist of the Year’ 2014 Garden Media Guilds.

Join Charles for a special one-day workshop where he will share his experience, ideas and methods to grow more vegetables in less space. With an emphasis on salads, discover the best leaves for every season and ways to pick and care for plants so they produce for a long time. Charles will introduce a calendar of sowing, including his experience with moon sowing, for healthy and productive growth, giving better results for less effort.

‘Charles – if only all horticulture teachers were as wise, interesting and god damn cool as you, we’d have a whole generation of eager growers raring to go! ’ Anna Greenland, head vegetable gardener at Le Manoir for Raymond Blanc
